

Today Yaroslavlvodokanal is one of the leading municipal enterprises in the city. It provides potable and process water for domestic and industrial needs and performs wastewater collection and treatment.
The agency operates three water treatment plants with intakes from the rivers Volga and Kotorosl. The total capacity of the facilities is 325 ths. m3/day of potable water and 102,9 ths. m3/day of process water:

The process water plant is structurally part of the CWTP. The potable water consumption remains constant for the last 3 years; the agency completely covers the city’s water demand.
The total length of distribution networks is 961,07 km; for sustainable pressure in the distribution network 88 booster pump stations (BPS) are used. The agency operates 8 city fountains.


For pumping of collected wastewater 37 wastewater pump station are operated. The length of sewer nets is 827,00 km.
The actual capacity of the Wastewater Treatment Plant
(WWTP) is about 415 ths. m3/d. In 2002 after start-up of the WWTP Process Train 3 with a capacity of 150 ths. m3/d the agency will perform a complete treatment of all wastewater volumes inflowing the WWTP.
Since 1997 as part of the housing and communal services reform the agency received as an addition to its assets 277,98 km of water pipes, 291,36 km of sewers, 43 water and 17 wastewater pump stations.
